Tizi Ouzou: Signature of an agreement between the ENIEM and ENIE

A partnership agreement between state-owned appliance industry ( ENIEM ) of Tizi Ouzou and the National Company in the electronics industry ( ENIE ) of Sidi Bel- Abbes was signed yesterday at the headquarters of the Directorate General for ' ENIEM in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Fettouhi , CEO of the GSP Indelec .The agreement initialed by the CEOs of the two flagships of the national industry of electronics and appliances has a partnership in marketing the products of these two companies at the respective shows -rooms of these companies and at the effect to face unfair competition faced by the domestic market in the field of electronics and appliances and thereby increase sales of products of these two large industrial complexes show good results from erasure the state of their debts were around 20 billion dinars. Tribute to memory of National Liberation War martyrs at Martyrs’ MemorialCOMMEMORATION OF 59th ANNIVERSARY OF ARMED REVOLUTION OUTBREAK

Speaker of the Council of the Nation (Upper House) Abdelkader Bensalah, Speaker of the People’s National Assembly (Lower House) Mohamed Larbi Ould Khelifa and Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal observed Friday a moment’s silence at the Martyrs’ Memorial in Algiers, in memory of the martyrs of the Algerian Revolution (1954-1962).

The three top state officials laid a wreath at the memorial.
The event was attended by the chairman of the Constitutional Council, Mourad Medelci, the vice minister of National Defence, chief of staff of the People’s National Army, Lieutenant-General Ahmed Gaid Salah, and Interior Minister Tayeb Belaiz.
Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra, Minister of Justice Tayeb Louh, Minister of Mujahedeen (war veterans) Mohamed Cherif Abbas, Minister of Finance Karim Djoudi and president of the National Mujahideen Organization, Said Abadou, also attended the tribute ceremony.

MPs underline need to diversify national economy

FINANCE BILL 2014 PRESENTED AT LOWER HOUSE

Members of the National Popular Assembly (Lower House) stressed Wednesday during the debate on 2014 finance bill the need to diversify national economy which is largely relying on hydrocarbon incomes.

Deputy Hadjirah Khelifa from the Front of justice and development (FJD) said that Algeria’s oil tax system decreased during the last months due to dwindling of oil prices in the global markets that adversely affect the national economy.
For his part, Rachid Mouni from Alliance of Green of Algeria (AAV) affirmed that relying on oil incomes “misrepresents national economy. Financial and economic indicators place Algeria in a comfortable position while reality is different as economy is still vulnerable.
Besides, he called for beneficiating from Algeria’s oil incomes and economic well-being in order to implement development programs and build a productive economy.
During the debate on the bill, members of the National People’s Assembly called for deletion of some provisions mentioned the bill like the prohibition for car dealers to sell vehicles through credit and exemptions and reductions of taxes, reaffirming the need to accompany these measures by a report attesting their effect on the economy.
The evening session will be devoted to questions from the presidents of the parliamentary groups.

Telecoms : Algeria’s experience in e-government

Algeria’s experience in e–administration has been presented Monday in Algiers by Minister of Post and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Zohra Derdouri at a regional North Africa workshop on e-government.In her opening address at the three-day workshop, Derdouri said that the e-government project aims at simplifying the administrative procedures.The e-government consists in optimizing the possibilities offered by ICTs to improve public services at all levels for the benefit of citizens through online forms, she explained.The e-administration also allows the strengthening of intersectoral communication and coherence through system interoperability, she added at the workshop, which is organized by the African Development Bank in collaboration with the Ministry of Post and ICT and South Korea’s National Computing and Information Agency.The minister underlined that the improvement of governance is one of the five main lines of the government’s action plan, adopted in 2012 and which is part of the five-year development programme (2010-2014) of President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika.

UNITED NATIONS DAY : President Bouteflika for new post-2015 program

President of the Republic, Abdelaziz Bouteflika, urged Monday the United Nations Organization, on the occasion of its day, to establish a new post-2015 development program, "so as to meet the peoples’ expectations for well-being.""To this urgent call is added the need for projecting our peoples’ expectations for a fairly shared wellbeing in a new post-2015 development program and through the conclusion of a new agreement on climate change," President Bouteflika underlined in a message read by FM secretary general Nourredine Aouam, on the occasion of United Nations Day.According to him, these new gains, that Algeria "fully supports, should reinforce UN central role in harmonizing the interests and combining the efforts of member states to achieve extraordinarily important common objectives."In this regard, he recalled Algeria role and its commitment in the UN organization, mentioning the various contributions it brought to the international community."Algeria is proud to be an active and committed member of the United Nations. Western sahara : President Bouteflika underlines human rights monitoring
