Lamamra held no discussion with Moroccan counterpart in Bamako

Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra and his Moroccan counterpart held no discussion on the sidelines of a ministerial meeting in Bamako, Mali, as alleged by some Moroccan media, the ministry of Foreign Affairs’ spokesman, Amar Belani, said Tuesday.
"Some Moroccan media have alleged that Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra discussed with his Moroccan counterpart on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting in Bamako. I categorically deny these preposterous allegations," Belani told APS.
"The two ministers greeted each other at the conference hall and exchanged some courtesy words. There had been no talks and no discussion about an alleged constructive dialogue, as speciously reported by those (Moroccan) media."
Moroccan website "www.360.ma" had alleged on Tuesday that "Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation Salaheddine Mezouar discussed in Bamako with Algerian counterpart Ramtane Lamamra, on the sidelines of the works of the ministerial meeting" about the implementation of a United Nations’ integrated strategy for the Sahel.
